Men’s Division II Pools Announced

April 21 - Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s title defense is in full swing, as the reigning champion Redhawks have made their way nicely through a tough schedule this spring, showing well against opponents from higher divisions while dominating DII competition. Northern Iowa, which finished third last year, also returns having won the Great Midwest title last week in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin.

Pairing with IUP in Pool B are MARC champion Georgetown, who will be playing in their backyard at nationals, Southern champion UNC-Wilmington and the University of Chicago. Matching with UNI in Pool C is perennial contender Norwich, champions of the New England Wide, Scranton, who lost to Georgetown on the final play of the MARC championship, and SCRC runner-up Auburn.

NC State comes in as the top-finishing Division II team in the Southern Conference and a serious contender to win it all. The Wolfpack will be pushed in Pool A by Washington (MO), who downed Central Missouri to win the Gateway, SCRC champion Memphis and local favorite Towson.
